Personal Interests

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and our two dogs, going to concerts, and trying (mostly struggling) to keep plants alive.

About Me

I specialize in working with children, adolescents, adults and their families on anxiety, emotional regulation, executive functioning skills and post-concussion related challenges. I also enjoy working with clients struggling in school for various reasons, including behavioral issues and low self-esteem. I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent clients, such as those with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD.

My training and experience in schools, community mental health centers, and private practice settings has been invaluable in terms of professional skill development. In addition to a master’s degree in mental health counseling, I have a background in teaching as a certified Special Education teacher. It was during my first year of teaching when I realized additional training was necessary to best meet my students’ social and emotional needs. This realization led to pursuit of a master’s degree in Behavior Analysis. Due to the breadth of my training and work experiences, I  am able to utilize behavioral principles concurrently within therapeutic modalities, such as CBT and ACT. As a former educator and current LPC and BCBA, I enjoy collaboration with teachers, parents, and other providers. Helping parents navigate the evaluation or reevaluation process within the school system and advocate for their children is also a passion.

Therapeutic Approach

utilize therapeutic modalities such as CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, ERP, and DBT. I work with the client and families in developing a treatment plan that is client centered, supportive, and challenges the client to meet their goals. Additionally, I also offer parent training to help caregivers understand their child’s behavioral patterns and respond in ways that teach appropriate coping skills.
